This is the special thumb screw for the battery box on the Willys M38A1 army jeep.  The jeep originally used 8 of these screws to hold the battery box in place.  You can buy one or as many as you would like.   This would be a good item to stock up on.  Put a few extra ones in your spare parts stash.  These have not been available NOS and when my small quantity is gone, that is it.
