This nicely restored Willys CJ6 is actually and CJ5 that has been extended. \u00a0CJ6 jeeps were produced in such low numbers that finding a solid, unaltered one is nearly impossible. \u00a0This CJ5 conversion is done so well that the CJ6 Bestop actually fits perfectly.<\/p>\n

This fresh restoration has been professionally done with detail in mind. \u00a0Very few reproduction parts were used on this jeep. \u00a0Original parts were restored and used as much as possible. \u00a0This goal on this restoration was to restore to factory original as best possible. \u00a0Modifications were kept to a minimum. \u00a0This restoration jeep would be a great addition to any jeep collection or would fit right into a museum displaying original condition jeeps.<\/p>\n

Detail was the priority on this restoration. \u00a0The professional who restored this used many techniques such as placing a dense plastic cushion between any two metal surfaces such as the hood and hood hinge. \u00a0This has eliminated any metal squeak when this jeep is driven.<\/p>\n

This jeep starts right up the first time and idles nicely. \u00a0The jeep drives very nicely. \u00a0To the best of my knowledge, all functions work. \u00a0The brakes work great. \u00a0The transmission shifts nicely. \u00a0The heater works very well. \u00a0The wipers work and the turn signals work. \u00a0All gauges and lights work. \u00a0The parking brake works great. \u00a0The 4 wheel drive works and the jeep is equipped with period correct lock out hubs.<\/p>\n

I would not hesitate to take off on a cross country trip in this jeep. \u00a0The extra cargo space of the CJ6 would make such a journey a fun experience. \u00a0This jeep is equipped with a trailer hitch and is wired for a trailer already. \u00a0Sure would be fun to tow a boat down to the lake in this jeep!<\/p>\n

This jeep is equipped with the F134 Willys Jeep engine and T90 transmission. \u00a0 The jeep has a brand new CJ6 BesTop brand top nicely and professionally installed. \u00a0The jeep is equipped with a custom spare tire mount with jack. \u00a0The tire and jack don\u2019t squeek even when driving down a gravel road. \u00a0This jeep is tight.. no squeeks!<\/p>\n
