New Fuel Tank, Willys CJ2A, CJ3A, CJ3B.  $189.99  #640685. Gas Tank.

This is a factory fresh and high quality new steel gas tank (fuel tank). Correct for the Willys CJ2A, CJ3A, CJ3B jeeps.  New production.  It comes painted a gloss black.  Installs just like the original tanks.  Replace that old rusty tank now with this high quality, correct, steel tank.  Tank has internal baffle.

I have sold over 500 of these tanks with nothing but happy buyers / compare at $249.95 at other dealers for the same tank!

Here is a bit of technical info on the tank:

I have been asked about the fuel line fitting on the bottom of the tank many times. The best answer that I can give is that standard 1/4 inch fuel line fittings work on this tank. I just pulled a tank off of the shelf and several 1/4 inch fuel lines that I have here fit into the tank nicely. I did some research to find the exact size of this fitting and it seems that it may be a 7/16 x 24 inverted flare fitting. Testing the tank fitting threads with a screw pitch gauge confirmed that it is 7/16 x 24. But once again, it is a standard 1/4 inch fuel line fitting. I used my metric tap and die set and no metric tap would fit into the fuel tank fitting so it should not be anything metric. The first time I tried to screw the fuel line fitting into the tank I had to be “gentle”. The inside of the fuel tank fitting did have some paint build up on the treads which had to be worked through. I never had to force the fitting. The second time I tried, the fuel line fitting went right in and tightened up correctly indicating that the paint was causing some minor threading issues on the first pass. NOTE: There are 2 fittings on the bottom of the tank. The one closest to the edge of the tank with the larger “dimple” in the bottom of the tank is for the drain plug. The fuel line fitting is the one closer to the center of the tank with the smaller dimple on the bottom of the tank. Also, a bit of sealer or teflon tape on the fuel line fitting is a good idea.
