This item is an overload or helper spring assembly removed from a Willys DJ3-A 2 wheel drive jeep.  This jeep was a jeep used at an airport.  The jeep had a conveyor ass’y on it for loading baggage onto airplanes. This helper spring seems to be factory installed but I cannot verify that.  This helper spring was installed to compensate for the baggage conveyor weight.  

The longest spring leaf measures 27 inches.

A very interesting Willys accessory.  Maybe you know more about this than I do.  If so, please let me know.
