This item is a new production foot operated starter switch for the WWII jeeps as well as the early civilian jeeps such as CJ2A, CJ3A, CJ5, Willys trucks, wagons, jeepster, etc.

This starter switch is identical in every way to the WWII original switches.  The stem that you push with your foot is secured with tabs and is also brazed to the top plate which affords extra strength to the housing and ultimately keeps the contacts in perfect alighment (this is what fails on the other switches after pressure from foot operation).  The special hex nuts are 9/16″ hex with 5/16-24 thread.  The nuts are steel for strength and copper plated for durability and reliability.  Our switches are designed the same as original switches that have lasted for 70 or more years and still work today.  Buy this switch with confidence!
