MULE IS SOLD

1968 M274 A5 military mule.  Made by Baifield Industries.  Mule is 2 wheel steer.  Four wheel drive.  Electric start.   Mule starts, runs, and drives.  All functions seem to work correctly with no known mechanical issue (other than being used and over 40 years old).

Mule includes the tow bar.  New battery installed.  Fuel pump recently replaced.   Deck is in very nice condition by my standards.  The side rails are very nice and straight. 

I’ve owned this mule for several years and have done routine maintenance on it.  I’ve changed the oil, spark plugs, fuel filter and things like that.  I also replaced the front half of the seat cushion a few years back.  The mule starts every time and I have used the mule gently for yard type jobs.  I’ve also taken this to our MVPA state club’s annual military vehicle rally.  It is always a fun vehicle to have at the rally because it is different.  The kids love riding on it. 

The mule is not restored.  Mostly it is in original condition.  It has been repainted at some point, but the original markings were not painted over (under the seat cushion).  The markings on the back of the seat are unique.  I’ve not seen these markings on other mules.
