Willys M38A1 F134 Rebuilt Jeep Engine, $1,650.

WILLYS M38A1 F134 ENGINE $1650.

This item is a Willys F134 four cylinder jeep engine.  This engine is correct for the Willys M38A1 (not M38) army jeep or the CJ3B, CJ5 or CJ6 civilian jeep.  This is an original military engine because the engine serial number starts with MD which indicates this came out of an M38A1 army jeep.

Includes many accessory parts such as the exhaust manifold, water pump (looks new), lifting bracket, oil filter canister, spark plugs, clutch, pressure plate, flywheel, fan, new pulley, accelerator linkage, oil dip stick and tube.  The engine is currently sitting in a jeep frame.  The frame, axles, transmission, bell housing, and other visible items are not included in this auction. 

This engine came out of an M38A1 jeep restoration project that was started but never completed.  The fellow that I got this from told me the engine had been rebuilt by an engine shop and that he had started and ran the engine one time.  The jeep restoration project was never completed so this engine has zero miles on it since rebuild.

I will include a new high quality and made in the USA copper head gasket by Best Gasket as well as an oil pan gasket at no charge to the buyer so you can take the head and oil pan off here in my shop before taking delivery.  This will give you a chance to take a look inside the engine so there will not be any surprises. 

Engine turns over with a socket on the main pulley so the engine is not stuck.  The serial number on the engine is D71753.  I cannot see the M that should be in front of the D but it is hard to view the serial number where it is located.  The M may be visible once the head is removed or the M may have been machined off during machining.
