Brand new fresh stock. Master military rebuild kit for the Carter YS-637 carburetor. This is correct for the Willys M38 (not M38A1) jeep only. This kit is complete and includes all the parts needed to rebuild your carburetor. Very high quality kit with gaskets and diaphragms suitable for the new gasoline blends. This is not a gasket kit, this is the most complete master kit available. Compare at $59.95 or more.
Includes a very high quality brass needle, spring and seat ass’y (float lever valve). This is not included in many kits on the market today or a very low quality needle and seat are included. Our kit has the best brass needle and seat ass’y available. Our kit also has the correct thickness base gasket for mounting your carb to the intake manifold.
There are different styles of the Carter YS carburetor. This kit is correct for the Carter YS-637 only which was original equipment on the Willys M38 army jeep (G740). This kit is not correct for the Willys M38A1 army jeep. If you have any questions or concerns about this being the correct kit for your carburetor, give me a call. I can help you be certain this is the correct kit for your carb.
I have included a picture of the Carter YS 637 carburetor installed on the L134 flat head jeep engine in an M38 jeep for example purposes. For this kit to work for your carb, your carb must be the same style as the one pictured and you must be mounting it on the same style flat head engine that is pictured. Be sure of this and contact me if you have any questions. Obviously, the carb and engine pictured are not included.
