Are you tired of searching for a correct and good quality coil for your Willys vehicle.  Look no further.  This is not only correct for Willys 12 volt electrical systems, but it is the best quality available.  Yes, I can sell you a no name coil for a bit less money, but it WILL fail on you.  Some of the low quality coils fail right out of the box.  Beware of coils with no name brand!

Yes, the voltage designation is important.  You must use a 12 volt coil for a 12 volt electrical system.  I have seen some sellers selling coils for Willys vehicles and not even indicating if the coil is for 6 or 12 volt systems.  Most of the coils on the market are of very questionable quality.  You know Standard Motor Products as the best brand on the market.    

Do you know that one of the signs of a weak, failing, or junk ignition coil is that the vehicle will run correctly initially, then after a few minutes as the coil heats up, the engine will loose significant power and run very poorly.  Many times, intermittent engine running problems are the result of a low quality coil.

Correct for Willys CJ2A, CJ3A, CJ3B, truck, wagon, and jeepster.  Only correct for 12 volt electrical systems.  You WWII jeep guys with the Willys MB or Ford GPW jeeps will be glad to find this 12 volt coil.  It is correct for your application as well if you have converted to 12 volts, especially when reliability is important.

Not correct for 6 volt or 24 volt applications.
