Willys L134 or F134 Alternator Bracket Set, $104.00.
One of the biggest obstacles in converting your vintage jeep from 6 to 12 volts is replacing the six volt generator with a 12 volt alternator. Mounting the new alternator is a challenge. There are all kinds of alternator brackets on the market for your vintage jeep (ranging from totally useless to hideous). The problem is that they are all very poor designed and are extremely expensive. This bracket actually works and is priced right. Very high quality craftsmanship and made in the USA!
These brackets get installed on the rebuilt engines that I offer here at Classic Military Vehicles. This bracket design has been trail tested with great results!
Some of the brackets you find on the market today are “universal” meaning they work for various applications. They may work for some vehicles, but they do not work well on the Willys engine! Others are designed poorly to expedite and lower the cost of production.
Take a look at this bracket set. You can see the difference! The top support bracket is not just straight stock with a groove cut into it. This upper bracket is made with the correct double offset to fit the Willys engine with a custom and correct fit. The lower bracket is also custom designed to fit the Willys jeep application.
These brackets come with mounting hardware. Fits the L134 or F134 Willys Jeep engines. Shimming with a couple of washers will be required on some F134 engines to accommodate the thicker engine mounting plate.
Bracket set (2 pieces and hardware) only on this listing. Alternator and rebuilt engines available for additional cost.
Here is some feedback that we are receiving from our customers on this bracket.
Hi Dan,
I don’t know who developed the alternator bracket I bought from you recently, but I just wanted to let you know that that thing is on point!
It’s a seriously well thought out bracket that holds my alternator rock solid. Nice adjustment too.
I’m very satisfied, thanks for the great product!
