1946 Willys CJ2A. These pictures don’t do justice to this jeep. I am the third owner of this jeep. I found it in long term storage in an old downtown warehouse. It was serving as the home to multiple families of mice (or rats). It was filled with rubbish and mice nests. It took quite a bit of effort to get it cleaned up to this point. With few exceptions this jeep is an unaltered example of an early production CJ2A.
I have the data plates that live on the engine fire wall as well as the frame tag and they all match the title. I believe (or suspect anyway) that the engine is original. The oil bath air cleaner seems to be the wrong one for this jeep.
The jeep has been repainted at some point. The rear crossmember and draw bar prove this. I think the original color was green and the jeep came with two of the original wheels which are yellow. The previous owner had added the 15 inch wheels along with new tires to make it easier for him to tow the jeep to the location where I found it. To my knowledge that is all the previous owner (2nd owner) did to the jeep. So to the most part, this is the condition that the original owner left the jeep in. As I understand it, the original owner was a WWII veteran.
